Fantastic set of 4 Highball glasses by Mexican artist Felipe Derflingher: Feders c. 1970's
This is a 'matching' set of 4. There are irregularities among the glasses due to the hand blown nature, and is part of the intention of brutalist design.
Derflingher was the owner and main designer for Feders based in Mexico City. Today the company is owned and operated by his son and has been renamed Vidrio Artistico de Cuernavaca / Feders.
These amazing glasses were handmade by blowing molten glass into a metal cylinder with various cut out shapes. The metal is then discolored under intense heat to give it a blackened effect.
